We had this miniature camera mounted in our therapy room. It is tiny at about 1” square and has full audio and colour video. We had it connected to a TV outside the therapy room so we could watch sessions. We were able to videotape sessions for our Consultant and used the video as a training tool for our team.
This is a great tool for your ABA program. We loved using it but no longer need it. Asking $80

Thomas and Friends (used) items for sale: $250
Hi parents,
It is time for my boy to say good bye to his Thomas and Friends collection. They are great for many training programs. I and my boy had many great times using them to learn and play. They are used, but most of kids would not mind.
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/tag/2452985293.html
They are not cheap, but they are quality toys and they can last for a very long time. Personally, I consider them as an investment. I am not surprised that they can be sold at similar price after another 2 years.
My collection is not small, so rather expensive. I do encourage parents to check out the craigslist for other sellers.
Here are some ideas I have used them for:
* DVDs can be borrowed from public library. So, the kid should know the characters somehow.
* I did not show my boy the whole collection. I used pictures to ask him to make choices for his reward and put it on his reward book. His reward book is a great visual cue encouraging him to do great work.
* Each train has its name and characters. Just image how much stuff you can teach.
* Teach him to construct different track layout. My boy tended to construct only one layout at early stage. He only constructed straight line at the very beginning.
* The Spiral Bridge is the most difficult bridge; I introduced this to my boy in the later stage. It took me a long time to teach him to build it and fix it by himself. He has to learn asking help, patient, and many other useful skills because of this bridge. It was not easy for him and me. My boy loved to use this bridge to pretend the one in the Polar Express movie. Battery powered James comes in very handy to play with this bridge.
* The Battery powered James is great to teach him to let go (he wanted to control every train using his hands).
* The blue long bridge: My boy used this as the Lions Gate Bridge (between Vancouver and N.W. Vancouver).
* The Brio Remote Control Bridge: It is like the Sea Island Way bridge in Richmond that which can be open for the boats. (between Richmond and Vancouver)
* By the way, my boy liked to use tissue boxes as tunnels (like the Messy Tunnel).
* So we pretty much using all the tracks to build a place covering Ladner, Richmond, Vancouver, North and West Vancouver.
* We also used the train to pretend to be Skytrain. We did Skytrain and Seabus trips a lot when he was young.
Please let me know, if you are interested in buying them.
Cheers.
Peter

NEED HELP!. Hi there!. My son is 14 year old with mild autism. He got diagnosed when he was 9 year old. We been doing therapy for him for 3.5 years , but then ,my consultant is not available any more ( Lisa Wincz was our son ' s consultant ). When we did the therapy before, we just worked on his social skill and academic only, not on behavior , because, at the time, his behavior was not an issue, eventhoght, he is always a stubborn kid ). We haven't been done therapy for 1,5 years beside tutoring and a little playing sport . He ' been doing good at the school, and managed ok at home. I mean, his attitue is ok and he does his chore. But start beginning of this school year, his behavior is getting very bad. I just moved to a new place for almost 1,5 years. He has to take the bus to school . He hang out with one of the kid in our neighbor. This kid is not s good kid. He swears alot. I tried to explain to my son , but the more I said, the more he hang out. He start to swears at me, hit his brother ( my younger son has autism as well and he is so scared of his brother). He got angry very easy, when he angry , he tend to be aggressive. Now, he doesn't want to listen any more. He would go out without letting me know where he is. Every night , we have to fight to get him to bed , otherwise, he keep watching tv or play computer. If I take all the electronic away for grouded, he got really mad and he willswears at me and become aggressive. And he will go out more . Every morning, we have to drag him out of bed for the school. He doesn' t want to eat either. Some time, he doesn't eat breakfast, and not even bother of eating lunch either. I ' been attend parenting group for teen, try a diigirent way, and it seem nothing work , some time , the sittuation is out of my hand, no matter, how much I tried. I feel hopeless. I feel failed. I am dread, worry for my son' future. Is this all this atitude and behavior is just because he is teenager like some of the other typical teenagers states?,or is this is a beginner of the worse?.One of the parent that I know, they have to give up their kid for the social government , because, they couldn't handle their teenager daughter any more. I really don't want to make this decision , but some time for my younger son safety, I feel I may have to. I am stuck. I talked to his school. They said he is doing ok at school, but not open up about his behavior at home. He did not open up with me either. I wonder , if any of you have exprience on similar situation? , or know any consultant is good with the teenager ?. Any feed back is great appreciated. Thank you in advance!.

Hello,
My name is Dave Harding. I am seeking a position as an ABA SW within the Surrey School District for next September. I currently have my 1000hrs and work under the consultation of Sharon Baxter, Dr. Sara White and Rachel Russell. Not only do I have the privilege of working under some of the best consultants with a wide age variety of children, but I also have been working on my own son’s home based ABA program for six years. I am aware of the struggles of day to day living. If chosen I will advocate for the child I am placed with. I will do my best to see that the parents/consultants goals are met. I am comfortable working with aggressive or high behavioural children. If you are looking for a mature, reliable and responsible interventionist to work with your child within the Surrey School District, please consider me.
Thank You,
Dave Harding
